Getzner to Launch New Open Cell Polyurethane Gasket Material at Foam Expo
Sylomer® GC, an Unmatched Sealing Technology
Charlotte, NC, March 03, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Getzner, the world market leader in the engineered elasticity field, is introducing its newest product in its line of polyurethane materials for gaskets, Sylomer GC ® open cell, at the Foam Expo March 6-8 in Michigan at booth 420. Sylomer GC®, and its closed-cell counterpart, Sylodyn® GC, serve as a functional component in a variety of gasket and sealing applications, and may be used for vibration mitigation as well.
Sylomer® GC open cell polyurethane, an economical option, combines spring and damping characteristics. With high elasticity and fatigue strength, the material may be compressed repeatedly, returning to its original shape and thickness with ease. Getzner’s Sylodyn® GC closed cell polyurethane provides unmatched durability, adhesion and strength and is an ideal option when the application calls for a weatherproof and waterproof solution. Significantly lessening the need for replacement, each material is PSA-friendly and offers uncompromised resistance against chemicals and ultraviolet light. Both are UL50E and 94 HBF certified as well.
Individuals looking to remediate building vibration due to equipment installed inside amplifying and transmitting structure-borne noise may also turn to Sylomer® and Sylodyn®. By reducing vibrations, the mechanical system is quieter and can yield longer service life of the machines and equipment, as well as the surrounding area. Sylomer® and Sylodyn® materials may yield reduced structure-borne noise, fewer maintenance costs, improved customer satisfaction and flexibility.
