The PLATO Society
Lifelong Learning Center - Where Learning Never Retires
At PLATO, the emphasis is on the pure enjoyment of learning for its own sake in a supportive environment where peers lead weekly study-discussion groups and everyone participates. The current 25 topics change three times a year and are selected by the over 400 active members. Topics are expansive because PLATO members share curiosity as a common trait.
Whether it's baseball, opera, forensic science, the American Revolution, hominids, great jury trials, films of David Lean, literature, art, or any provocative topic members chose to study, discussions are in depth. PLATO members come from professional backgrounds that require analytical thinking and articulate discourse.
We encourage people to visit our headquarters in Westwood to sample the "PLATO experience." For more information, please go to our website or call the office M-F and talk with our members at the Welcome desk. You can also learn about the many social opportunities at PLATO, where members come together to share common interests both on and off site.
