Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to Host Program Focused on Gambling Addiction for Veterans on Thursday, March 15
Dover, DE, March 08, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino will host the Service Members, Veterans and Gambling Addiction program on Thursday, March 15 at the hotel’s conference center.
The program, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is co-sponsored by the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems, the National Council on Problem Gambling and Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.
Tickets for active-duty military members and veterans are free. Tickets for students are $20 and general admission tickets are $50. The program includes a continental breakfast and buffet lunch and is worth 6.5 hours of Continuing Education Unit credits. Participants can register online at veteranssupport.eventbrite.com.
The event’s keynote speaker is Dr. Heather Chapman, a clinical psychologist and nationally certified gambling counselor. Chapman is the deputy director of the Veterans Addiction Recovery Center and the director of the Gambling Treatment Program at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Ohio.
