Other web sites give information about what the professionals say about different breeds, but there’s nothing more helpful than learning from the testimonial and experience of an every day dog owner.” Eyerdam continues, “Every dog has a story and it’s up to his owner to tell it. Our website would like to hear from every woman who has a Lab, Doberman, Shih Tzu, Yorkie, Collie, Terrier, Poodle, mixed breed, or any breed that they’d like to write about.”

The goal of Dogsforwomen.com is to create a dog breed database that will give others who are shopping for a new dog a sense of how much work and care goes into raising a certain breed. The site wants to share information about the pluses and minuses, rewards and risks of living with different breeds in order to help match the right dogs to the right owners, and visa versa. The website acknowledges that different dog owners might have very different experiences with the same breed so the site will publish multiple perspectives on the same breed.
