JIS is the research journal of the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Section of the American Accounting Association. The 3rd Annual JIS Research Conference will be held on March 15 & 16 at the AICPA offices in Durham, NC. The conference is sponsored by the Information Management and Technology Assurance (IMTA) section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Section of the American Accounting Association (AAA).
The focus of JISC-2018 is Cloud Computing. Important issues to be addressed:
-- Design of architecture and the development of infrastructure of the cloud computing-based enterprise systems;
-- Cost-benefit analysis of cloud-based systems versus conventional systems;
-- Security and governance of cloud-based systems;
-- New auditing issues for cloud computing users and providers.
Academic research will be presented, with cloud computing discussions on the role of cloud computing in accounting.
The topic of Berry’s keynote address will be “Operations, Observations and Challenges of an EPM Cloud Hosting Provider.”
