Vitex LLC Announces Availability of 400G Transceiver Portfolio
Ridgefield Park, NJ, March 25, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Vitex LLC, a leading supplier of fiber optic interconnect solutions announced today that the company in partnership with InnoLight Technology introduced 400G transceivers to its growing portfolio of products for datacenter and telecom markets. InnoLight Technology, a leader in data center optics builds and designs high speed transceivers for hyper scale datacenters.
The explosion in demand for higher bandwidth is driving datacenters and cloud operators to transition to 400G networks. To support this, Vitex introduces the following solutions for 400G interconnects.
400G QSFP-DD
The Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable Double Density (QSFP56-DD) is a pluggable module that supports four times the bandwidth of conventional QSFP28 modules. The design provides an eight-lane electrical interface, compared to traditional single or four-lane interfaces, thereby increasing bandwidth, channel capacity and port density. 400G QSFP-DD excels in backward compatibility with 100G/200G QSFP28/56.
*QSFP-DD AOC, 3~100m <9W (each QSFP-DD)power cons.
*QSFP-DD SR8 ,100m, <9W power cons.
*QSFP-DD SR4, 500m, <12W power cons.
*QSFP-DD FR4, 2km, <12W power cons.
*QSFP-DD LR4, 10km, <12W power cons.
400G OSFP
The Octal Small Form Factor Pluggable (OSFP) is a high-performance pluggable optics module form factor that supports the full range of 400G optics technologies for datacenter and metro applications. It implements 8 x 50 Gbps electrical data lanes.
*OSFP AOC, 3~100m, <9W (each OSFP)
*OSFP SR8, 100m, <9W
*OSFP 2x FR4, 2km, <12W
*OSFP LR8, 10km, <14W
“We are excited to offer 400G in two different form factors,” stated Michael Ko, Managing Director at Vitex. “Applications like cloud computing and online video are driving more and more data through telecom and enterprise networks. Leveraging Innolight’s technical expertise, we will be able to help our customers stay ahead of the curve.”
