American Journal Experts Offers Educational Webinar for the Carlos Chagas Institute in Paraná, Brazil
In March, American Journal Experts provided an educational webinar on the past, present, and future of scholarly publishing for authors at the Carlos Chagas Institute in Brazil.
Durham, NC, April 11, 2018 --(PR.com)-- American Journal Experts (AJE), provider of author services, collaborated with the Carlos Chagas Institute (ICC/Fiocruz), located in Brazil to provide an educational webinar to authors in March 2018. AJE works with authors around the globe, both individually and through institutions and organizations and supports them in the publication process through webinars, seminars, and a suite of author services.
“It was an honor and a privilege for AJE to be invited to take part in the ICC workshop,” said Alexis Rawls, AJE Global Marketing Team Manager. “We have worked with over 22,000 Brazilian customers since 2004, and when we are able to connect with individual researchers, we work hard to make the most of those special opportunities. The participants were highly engaged, and they had many great questions which served to reaffirm that Brazilian science has a bright future ahead. I look forward to seeing the discoveries these researchers make in the years to come.”
This webinar was given as a part of ICC’s event, the Academic Journey. The webinar focused on the past, present, and future of scholarly publishing and reviewed major milestones and trends within publishing. Topics such as open access, preprints, and publishing fees were discussed.
“Among the various activities at ICC is the Academic Journey, which is the main annual scientific event,” said Rafael Fogaça de Almeida, a PhD student in ICC's Bioscience and Biotechnology Program. “This is where researchers, MSc and PhD students share knowledge and present their scientific work. This year's edition of ICC's Academic Journey featured the American Journal Experts (AJE) webinar, addressing the past, present and future of academic publishing. Researchers and students were able to know and clarify the main doubts about the functioning and trends of academic publication. It was an enriching exchange of knowledge for our Institute.”
