Fusion Art Announces the Winners of Its 6th Quarterly International Open Art Exhibition
Fusion Art's 6th International Quarterly Open Art Exhibition Winners are Nelson Hee (Traditional), Brigitte Thiele (Digital Art & Photography) and Douglas Aja (3-Dimensional).
Palm Springs, CA, April 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of its 6th Quarterly International “Open” Online Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography and 3-Dimensional Art.
For this open (no theme) exhibition, the gallery invited both 2D and 3D submissions artists, regardless of their location or their experience or education in the art field. All artists, over the age of 18, were encouraged to submit their best representational or abstract art and photography.
The Best in Show winners are Nelson Hee for his watercolor, "Mooring 19," Brigitte Thiele for her digital painting, "A Rose for the Innocents" and Douglas Aja for his bronze sculpture, "Second Chance." Nelson, Brigitte and Douglas, as the Best in Show winners, are invited to participate in Fusion Art's 3rd Annual Group Show in Palm Springs in February 2019 and will also be invited to include their artwork in the Fusion Art Gallery on Artsy.net starting in May 2018.
In addition to the Best in Show awards, several honorable mention awards in each category were given. Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional category were given to Marino Nakano for her pen on paper, "Longing," Candace Cima for her watercolor, "Done Fishing," Aaron Burks for his oil on canvas, "7th Fleet Requiem," Michael J. Connor for his acrylic on canvas, "Whalalaland: Point Break," Anna Bulka for her relief on canvas, "Wolf Woman," Tubbesing for his acrylic painting, "The Unstrung Ukulele Of Despair," Chengyi Lu for his acrylic and ink pen on paper, "Broken," and Joseph Bounds for his oil on canvas, "Untitled."
Honorable Mention awards in the Digital & Photography category were given to Mandy Adamick for her digital collage, "Eiffel Tower," Ulrike Unterbruner for her photograph, "Majestic Pelican," Nicholas Kozis for his digital art, "Heritage 2," Nick Dale for his photographic print, "Close-up of Right Eye of Grévy's Zebra", Esther Byrt for her digital collage, "Justice," Byeong Rok Lee for his photograph, "Ppajyeodeulda," Mikayel Karabegov for his digital painting, "Untitled" and Meghan E. Jones for her photograph, "Sasha - Laughter."
Honorable Mention awards in the 3-Dimensional category were given to Tony Gangitano for his Italian carara marble, "Kindred," Marlene Siff for her acrylic on linen and wood, "Per Aspera Ad Astra (Through Thorns to the Stars)" and Aiden Dale for his stainless steel, "Arowana."
The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.
The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, New Zealand, Korea, Poland, Hong Kong, Austria, Moldova, Guatemala and Germany. The exhibition will be featured on the Fusion Art website through July 14, 2018.
