Dukosi Presents Technology Model at Urban Future Lab, New York
Edinburgh, United Kingdom, April 26, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Last month, Dukosi joined the Scottish Development International (SDI) energy systems trade mission and learning journey in New York, USA. SDI is affiliated with the UK government, and had invited Dukosi to join a trade mission and information exchange to a series of energy events and in the greater New York City area. This is the second event of its kind that Dukosi has been involved in. Earlier in March this year, members of Dukosi’s Edinburgh-based team participated in SDI’s Bavarian Trade Mission in Germany.
While in New York, Dukosi was represented by Commercial Director Michael Muzzin, who was hosted by SDI and the British Consulate in Manhattan. Two of the more noteworthy events attended were a visit to New York University’s Urban Future Lab technology incubator (UFL), where Mr. Muzzin presented the Dukosi technology model to an interested audience of UFL leaders and members. UFL has incubated over 300 companies, with a 90% survival rate.
Dukosi was also given the opportunity to tour the Hudson Yards development project in Manhattan. This is the largest privately-funded project currently underway in the United States. Hudson Yards will be innovative in how it produces its own energy independent of the New York area electrical grid in an environmentally friendly fashion. Key to the success of this project are large-scale, smart controls that evaluate and control energy production at every stage, synonymous with what Dukosi are doing with automotive and large-scale lithium-ion battery packs.
Encouraged by the event, Mr. Muzzin stated, “It was great to be in New York, where bright minds, financial capital, and high energy needs have come together to reinvent how energy is managed and delivered in one of the planets most densely populated areas."
As part of the ongoing global business development, Dukosi has taken it's latest demo kit on a UK-road trip to showcase their technology to potential customers ahead of the Battery Show Europe. The demo kit among other project packs will be on display at the Battery Show Europe in Hannover next month.
