Bloomex Named Official Florist of the Canadian Tulip Festival
Ottawa, Canada, May 03, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Bloomex is proud to announce that it has been named the Official Florist of the Canadian Tulip Festival for 2018. The festival takes place May 11-21 with attractions throughout the city at Lansdowne Park, Dow’s Lake, Garden Promenade and the Byward Market. Bloomex will be providing tulips and other flowers for events leading up to and during the festival. As an added value, Bloomex will be adding a free festival pass to every Ottawa Capital Region order from May 1-20.
The FlowerNite team will be at the Aberdeen Pavilion May 14-21 offering hands-on flower arranging workshops. Expert hosts will guide attendees step-by-step through the finer points of flower arranging and flower care as they create a tulip centrepiece they can later take home.
Bloomex will also be showcasing a Canadian Tulip Festival Collection on bloomex.ca to help raise funds for the Tulip Education Program. The program aims to teach students from Canada’s Capital region elementary schools how to plant and care for tulip bulbs. Fifteen percent of product purchase will go directly to help build special gardens that will help preserve the legacy of the liberation of Europe by Canadian troops and the birth of Dutch Princess Margriet in Ottawa during World War II and pays tribute to our Canadian veterans and servicemen. In addition to the gift of these special tulip gardens, participating schools receive teaching resources and enjoy unique opportunities to engage with the festival through art and composition projects.
