Ally Medical Services and Preston Wound Care Merge to Become Acentus. New Platform Represents a Compelling Alternative for Healthcare Entrepreneurs.
Tampa, FL, May 03, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Principles from Tampa, FL based Ally Medical Services, LLC and McKinney, TX based Preston Mobility Plus, Inc. dba Preston Wound Care announced this week that the two companies have merged effective April 14, 2018. The two companies are now wholly owned subsidiaries of Acentus LLC based in Tampa.
Ally Medical is one of Florida’s largest providers of incontinence and medical nutrition supplies to children with special healthcare needs and urological catheters to the neurogenic bladder patient population. Preston Wound Care is Texas’ largest wound care products supplier to patients living at home with diabetic ulcers and chronic wounds. Together, a footprint of 24 state Medicaid licenses and a broad portfolio of commercial and managed care insurance contracts creates Acentus’ robust platform for scaling the company’s high touch patient service model across the U.S.
Ally Medical co-founder Julio Valdivia commented, “Creating the Acentus platform allows us to utilize each company’s payer portfolio to grow our quality service model much quicker than with a traditional expansion template.” Preston Wound Care co-founder Greg Duvall added, “In today’s healthcare environment, it makes sense to join with other like-minded companies to accelerate growth, pool resources and leverage purchase volume.” Acentus is developing proprietary patient management software along with a central operations facility based in Tampa to gain efficiencies on all aspects of the patient service process. Preston Wound Care co-founder Brett Carroll indicated, “Merging operations helps us play off each other’s strengths – an important strategy considering the regulatory burden and payer challenges of maintaining our gross profit margins that each supplier faces today.”
Ally Medical co-founder and Acentus CEO Todd Cianfrocca said, “We believe the Acentus platform represents the future for medical supply entrepreneurs. It allows successful, independent owners to band together and focus on building their patient revenue base quicker, more profitably and with a clear path to optimize the enterprise value of their business.”
