#AllergicToEverything, a Book for Food Allergy Collectors, Launched During Food Allergy Awareness Week on Kickstarter

#AllergicToEverything is a cookbook and lifestyle guide for people living with multiple food allergies and the people who love them.

Oakland, CA, May 17, 2018 --(PR.com)-- #AllergicToEverything® is pleased to announce, during Food Allergy Awareness Week, the launch of a Kickstarter campaign that will allow food allergy collectors and the people who love them to navigate their food allergy journeys with a one-stop resource, cookbook, and lifestyle guide. This book is more than a dietary resource for allergy sufferers, #AllergicToEverything® is also diet-friendly for those with autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, gastrointestinal (GI) disease, digestive and inflammatory issues.

#AllergicToEverything® recipes are free from gluten, wheat, corn, oats, eggs, shellfish, sesame, and soy. The recipes are tailored to be flexible, including modifications for a diet and lifestyle free of the top eight major food allergens identified in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which are responsible for approximately 90% of food allergic reactions. Whether you are allergic to salmon (one of the top eight) or a vegetarian, you will find that the recipes are easily adaptable to your dietary restrictions. #AllergicToEverything® also excludes from its recipes chemical additives; food preservatives; and, artificial flavors, which for many people are increasingly identified as problem foods and additives.

“I was so sick of the salad option, nobody wants the salad, and nobody should have to spend five hours trying to figure out how to make a muffin,” says Jessica Gray Schipp, Author and Founder of #AllergicToEverything®. “This book is about cooking the foods you’ve always loved, allergen-free. I wrote #AllergicToEverything® over the last six years working on recipes in my kitchen. I embarked on my journey as a person with multiple food allergies in the hope that by helping myself I would one day be able to help others with the same allergy issues.”

Jess was diagnosed with multiple food allergies in 2010 and her journey was extremely challenging. Having no idea how to start navigating her new life, she wrote the book because she needed a one-stop resource to help manage the dangerous complications of food allergies. Eating has always been a simple task for most people but becomes scary and painful for the food allergy community. Jess’s experience, her trials and tribulations, and her time spent on this endeavor are what makes this book so incredibly valuable to the food allergy community.

According to Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), “researchers estimate that up to 15 million Americans have food allergies, including 5.9 million children under age 18. That’s 1 in 13 children, or roughly two in every classroom.”

Food allergies are on the rise. According to Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), it is estimated that 15 million Americans are living with one or more food allergies. Worldwide that number jumps to 150 million, according to a study done in 2011 by Elucidare.

This Kickstarter campaign, to raise $33,111, funds the first print-run of #AllergicToEverything, while supporting the 15 million American’s and 150 million people worldwide living with food allergies.

Your pledge will make a difference.

About Jessica Gray Schipp
Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Jessica Gray Schipp, grew up with seasonal allergies that affected her well-being. She later learned she had multiple food allergies responsible for much of her suffering. After decades of struggling with day-to-day activities, mitigating the unbearable side effects from the medications she was prescribed, and struggling with the nagging fear of never knowing how her body would treat her on any given day – Jessica said, “enough” and created #AllergicToEverything®. After several years of testing and incorporating whole-food based ingredients into her life, a cookbook was born. Jess is also a teacher, writer, artist, and entrepreneur living in Oakland, CA.
