Sumter, SC, May 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- SAFE Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union based in the Midlands, has named new managers at three branches in Sumter and Lugoff. All of the new branch managers were promoted from within SAFE, to replace managers who had been promoted to other roles.
The new managers are:

- Tyler Pike, Lugoff branch, Lugoff
- Amanda Reed, Lewis Road branch, Sumter
“Each of our new branch managers has solid experience in providing the best in service to our members,” said Darrell Merkel, CEO of SAFE Federal Credit Union. “We are proud that we are able to foster this talent and dedication within our own employee base, allowing us to promote such highly capable people.”
Tammy Avins is a 30-year SAFE employee who has worked in a variety of member service roles throughout her career, including service as branch manager at the Bishopville and Manning branches. She was most recently assistant branch manager at the Wesmark branch that she now leads. A Darla Moore School of Business graduate at the University of South Carolina, she lives in Sumter. She has served in the Lions Club for more than 10 years and is a former president of the Clarendon County club.

He has lived in Camden for 25 years and is a 2009 graduate of Camden High School. The 2013 graduate of the University of South Carolina serves as the junior varsity pitching coach at Camden High School and the American Legion Head Baseball Coach for Camden Post 17.
Amanda Reed, a five-year SAFE employee, has moved into the branch manager role at the Lewis Road branch after serving as assistant branch manager for nearly a year. She has also worked as a titles specialist and a member service representative at the McCray’s Mill Road branch. She is an Illinois native who has lived in Sumter for 13 years, graduating from Lakewood High School and then from the University of South Carolina in 2012.
