INTERTEL Names Melissa Thomas Chief Marketing Officer
Disability and Investigations Industry Veteran to lead innovative, data-driven marketing programs for the nationally recognized leader in Medical Canvassing.
Saint Louis, MO, May 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- INTERTEL, the nationally recognized leader in Medical Canvassing, today announced that Melissa Thomas has joined INTERTEL, Inc. as Chief Marketing Officer. Based in St. Louis, Thomas will lead INTERTEL’s marketing and continue to build the company’s brand as it enhances its service offerings and moves to target new claims industries to benefit a growing clientele.

Thomas will create innovative and exciting methods for public awareness and prospect/client company engagement to build affinity for the INTERTEL brand. Her responsibilities will include strategic market planning, data analytics and, insights to help drive stronger client company insights and service solutions, market research, branding, digital marketing, client company experience, communications, and public relations. Through creative, clear and compelling web and social media communications, Melissa will drive engagement and awareness of INTERTEL’s work, both nationally and globally.
Thomas’ insurance industry experience began over two decades ago as a claims analyst for one of the nation‘s largest Social Security Disability assistance firms. After years of successfully managing claims, she embarked on marketing claim services, scheduling and managing claims reviews with existing client companies, reporting outcome data, Social Security query interpretation, training benefit professionals on Social Security Disability integration, and promoting and enhancing relationships with the existing insurance company customer base and new clients. Thomas is widely known for her understanding of the Social Security Disability program’s benefit coordination with group disability insurance policies.

Most recently, Thomas headed marketing efforts for a national disability law firm as well as a global insurance investigations firm where she enhanced her knowledge base of international life claims investigations, record retrieval, medical canvassing, and social media investigations.
