Vernon Williams Presents, LLC & Lovail Long Investments Announce The Giz - a Go-Go Musical
Washington, DC, May 25, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Vernon Williams and Lovail Long are proud to announce, The Giz, a Go-Go Musical coming to the MGM National Harbor on August 19, 2018. Set in Washington, DC, this twist on the Classic story of the Wiz will embody the diverse culture and spirit of DC. Paying homage to the Godfather of Go-Go, Chuck Brown. This musical will have you out of your seat and dancing in the aisles.
Join Dorothy as she embarks on her journey to college, with hopes of attending the Historically Black College/University (HBCU) Howard University. Her Grandmother wants her to stay in "safe" North Carolina. Dorothy argues with her Grandmother during dinner and while upset runs into a big hurricane. Inside the hurricane she is picked up and thrown into a magical land called Chocolate City, where she finds she has accidentally killed the Wicked Witch of Northeast. Nervous and wanting to go home, Dorothy is met by another witch who tells her the only way to get home is to see the almighty and powerful GIZ, the King of Go-Go in Chocolate City....So begins Dorothy's Journey through the Magical Land of Chocolate City.
Come with Dorothy as she meets some unique friends, fights a few new foes and discovers "The GIZ"

Lovail Long
Lovail Long has always had a passion for entrepreneurship and business. Opening his first restaurant at 21, followed by Bodega Records and Entertainment Company- he managed groups, bands, boxers and actors. Producing events that were showcased on HBO and Showtime as well as actors starring in hit shows such as “The Wire.” Developing his creative writing skills he co-produced his first stage play that opened to a sold out audience.
