Offering Mobile Accessibility to Students & Faculty: College of Saint Mary Awarded $252,465 Campus Consortium Grant to Implement Mobile App

Chicago, IL, May 27, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Campus Consortium, the largest global education association of schools, colleges and universities, awards College of Saint Mary a $252,465 Grant to implement a Mobile Campus App for students and faculty. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, the College is dedicated to academic excellence and service-learning opportunities that empower women by calling forth potential and fostering leadership.
Pleased to receive the grant, David Ferber, Director of Safety and Security at College of Saint Mary, shared what drove the institution to apply for the grant, “Students are accustomed to having easy access to their learning materials and academic information via their mobile device. The Campus Consortium Mobile Campus Grant made it possible for us to deliver this to our students. The grant’s rich features makes our resources more convenient and accessible to our campus members, and will also will help us build a closer, and stronger learning community.”
The Campus Consortium Grant will enable College of Saint Mary to build their official mobile app through the technology provider Unifyed. The mobile app will consist of 14 basic applets like Campus News, Emergency Numbers, Campus Events, Social Media, Maps, etc. In addition, it will also feature Unifyed Applets for LMS, Academics and Unifyed Connect.
“This mobile app solution is bound to increase the digital capacity at CSM. We hope the College accomplishes a significant increase in user engagement ensuring higher learning and teaching benefits from the personalized applets exclusive to the institution. We believe this will be an opportunity for College of Saint Mary to grow and thrive. We wish them all the luck,” states Anjli Jain, Chairman of the Campus Consortium.
