HealthAware® and Blood Centers of America Partner to Engage Blood Donors with Innovative Chatbot Behavioral Change Technology
Denver, CO, May 30, 2018 --(PR.com)-- HealthAware® and Blood Centers of America Inc., (BCA) entered into an agreement to provide HealthAware’s Kare-N® blood donor engagement and recruitment programs to all BCA member centers. Based on a proprietary evidence-based behavior change framework, Kare-N interacts with blood center donors through a chatbot technology. The Kare-N system increases blood center efficiency through increased donor show rate, appointment readiness, donor referrals, and increase donor frequency. Kare-N automates, personalizes and catalogues all communications between the blood center and their donors which gives blood centers a unique insight into the many different donor profiles contributing to donor engagement and recruitment. Over time Kare-N learns the donor’s personal dispositions and adjusts communications accordingly, improving the donor experience with the blood center. This technology promotes giving through multiple social media platforms which facilitates viral referrals from friends and family that may otherwise been unaware of the need for blood products. Early program results indicate Kare-N achieved significant improvements with both no-show rate reduction, by up to 33%, and an increase in donor engagement, by up to 75%, all while decreasing internal recruitment activities.
“Partnering with HealthAware and their adaptive chatbot program, Kare-N has provided a platform to engage and affect donor communications in way not possible before. The ability to access real time data allows for immediate feedback to our blood centers and their operations,” said Bill Block of Blood Centers of America. “Undoubtedly, we are thrilled to have Kare-N being integrated with BCA members leading to improved show rates and donor engagement.”
“We are very excited with the opportunity to incorporate our adaptive chat-bot technology and behavioral science to radically improve the donor experience in the blood bank industry, in partnership with BCA. As a healthcare innovator we are relentlessly focused on how to leverage behavioral evidence and technology to improve donor engagement and recruitment,” said Greg Gossett, CEO & Founder of HealthAware.
