Mentors International Receives Varex Imaging Community Grant for Mentors Philippines Growth
Salt Lake City, UT, June 04, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Mentors International, an organization committed to empowering the world’s poor to grow in self-reliance through personal and business mentoring and access to financial services, announced today that it has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Varex Community Grant program. The grant was recommended by Varex Imaging’s employee-volunteer led Community Giving Committee, and it will be used to provide additional business and financial literacy classes to the surrounding communities in the three different branches within the Philippines where Mentors International operates.
Varex Imaging operates a manufacturing facility in the Philippines where Mentors International also serves. Varex Imaging wants to help improve and invest in the communities in which they work throughout the world. “We are grateful for the support of Varex Imaging in helping us to accomplish our mission. Together we are working to end poverty and build up communities throughout the world,” said Ron Dunford, President and CEO of Mentors International.
Mentors International has 28 years of experience helping communities through their self-reliant programs. During 2017, Mentors International was able to impact over 27,000 families in the Philippines and in six other countries throughout the world.
