Atlanta Event Planner’s Greenery Goes Green
Event design firm WM Events donates leftover floral arrangements to nonprofit organizations – a beautiful example of recycling.

But this local business owner has found a way to make the necessity of including greenery at events a “greener” process. The day after a big event, Fogler’s firm WM Events often donates leftover floral arrangements to nonprofit organizations – a beautiful example of recycling.
“We love appearing with an armful of flowers at the front door of these organizations that are working so hard to do good things in the community,” said Fogler. “As important as floral arrangements can be to the décor of our events, they get a second life when we bring them to brighten the atmosphere at a nonprofit center.”
From leftover centerpieces to massive bouquets, WM Events has provided still-fresh blooms to Atlanta organizations like the Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center, a nursing home in northwest Atlanta, and Caring For Others Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating poverty in Atlanta and around the world. Organizations such as these often cannot consider spending dollars from a tight budget on decorative items.
With events taking place several times each week, WM Events seeks additional nonprofit recipients to reuse floral arrangements in a manner to benefit those they serve.
