Independence, OR, June 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- For the first time, the security of the biggest American public event, Independence Day, in the city of Independence, Oregon (USA), will depend on digital technology.
Thanks to the technological ecosystem "WiseTown - Situation Room," created by the Italian software house TeamDev, the public administration and the citizens of Independence will be monitored on-line to ensure the security of July 4th Celebration.
The city of Independence chooses TeamDev for the management of July 4th Celebration.
The company that will support the city of Independence in Oregon (USA) during the commemoration of July 4th, is Italian. The software house, called TeamDev, will provide the american city administration an innovative technological platform to efficiently and safely manage the big event.
TeamDev and Independence collaborate on the winning Project, implementing cutting-edge solutions. The Pilot, considered very innovative, was financed by FIWARE, the European business accelerator, official partner of the Global City Teams Challenge, promoter of the Smart City, under the aegis of the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
SituationRoom, a technological ecosystem to guarantee the security of the events
The "WiseTown - Situation Room" solution will allow the public administration of the city to keep under control every sensitive aspect of the event, with particular reference to communication, traffic and security.
The innovative system manages, in real time, digital data collected from citizen alerts, IoT sensors, open data, georeferenced social media posts, pre-existing data archives, and urban video surveillance.
For an easier viewing of the activities to be monitored, the platform allows to set up a different configuration of access to the various sections of the dashboard. Thus, in case of confusion among the crowd or incidents, the representatives of the public administration, volunteers or law enforcement agencies can intervene promptly.
At the same time, citizens have the opportunity to report issues to the authorities through an app, social networks or access to the Issue Manager web portal, created specifically for this purpose.
