College All Set for Family Fun Day
Oswestry, United Kingdom, June 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College (NSC) staff have been busy preparing for the College’s annual Family Fun Day, due to take place on Saturday, 9th June 2018 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Oswestry Campus. The event will be held alongside Shropshire FA’s Under 8 and Under 10’s football tournament, and promises to be an exciting day out for all the family.
Among the many attractions on offer are a tombola, treasure hunt, hair and beauty pamper activities, go karts, a bouncy castle, live music and food courtesy of NSC’s Scholars restaurant. There will also be a star appearance from the exotic animals from Walford Campus, and a raffle with 30 prizes kindly donated from local businesses around Oswestry.
In addition to the wide range of activities on offer to families this year, the proceeds raised at the Family Fun Day will be given to two local charities. This year, NSC is donating to CRY for Matthew, who are raising awareness of heart defects in young people and raising funds for heart screening in Cheshire and Shropshire. The College will also be raising funds for The Isabelle Lottie Foundation, who are campaigning for a better understanding of brain tumours in children and young adults.
Lucy Evans, Marketing and Customer Service Manager at NSC comments, “Last year we had a fantastic event. The football tournament was very popular with visitors and we had a great turnout for the Family Fun Day. We are pleased to be supporting two great causes this year with our chosen charities CRY for Matthew and The Isabelle Lottie Foundation, and we look forward to welcoming families to this year’s event.”
For more information about the event, to book a stall or to donate a tombola prize, please email info@nsc.ac.uk or call 01691 688 000.
