Mobile Mark Antenna Company’s VP of Marketing, Ellie Sylvan, Honored with Women of M2M Award
Itasca, IL, June 11, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Ellie Sylvan, of antenna company Mobile Mark, Inc. was recently recognized as a 2018 Connected World Women of M2M (WoM2M) in Marketing, also called the Women of IoT in Marketing. The women who receive this honor are those who, in the IoT (Internet of Things) arena, help to advance the industry through research and advocacy, and who are role models and advocates for the empowerment of young women in the field.
Peggy Smedley, the editorial director of Connected World stated, “We are beginning to make strides toward helping young women become more interested in IoT - but we still have a ways to go. The women honored this year demonstrate how to lead in a way that inspires innovation.”
The 6th annual list, which was announced during a dinner on May 17th in San Francisco, includes some of the most influential and powerful women in the field of technology. These women come from diverse innovative companies from all over the world; the antenna company Mobile Mark, Microsoft, SPX Corp, Verizon, Hitachi and more.
Ms. Sylvan is honored to be included with such an esteemed group of women. She noted, “Women have a great deal to contribute to the technological sector, and the feeling of being recognized as someone who represents women well in this field, as well as someone who works to empower women in the field, is a good feeling.”

Ms. Sylvan was trained as an Economist, and has had work experience in Strategic Planning. She joined Mobile Mark Antenna Company in 1991 and was promoted to Vice President of Marketing in 2003. Prior to taking her position at Mobile Mark. Ms. Sylvan worked for several major manufacturers including Honeywell, Carrier and Agway. Ms. Sylvan has been an integral part of the company’s diversification from CB Antenna and Car Phone Antennas to an ever-widening array of site, mobile and device antennas for Cellular, WiFi, GPS, DSRC and RFID.
