High Swartz partners, Joel D. Rosen and Eric B. Smith have been appointed Board of the Trustees for the Montgomery Bar Foundation. Mr. Rosen has been reappointed for a 3 year term, while Mr. Smith, as outgoing President of the Montgomery Bar Association, is appointed for a one year term.

Mr. Rosen has been reappointed for a 3 year term, while Mr. Smith, as outgoing President of the Montgomery Bar Association, is appointed for a one year term.

The Montgomery Bar Foundation is the charitable affiliate of the Montgomery Bar Association. Since 1987, the Bar Foundation has supported law-related educational, charitable, and humanitarian projects throughout Montgomery County. Joel D. Rosen is Managing Partner of High Swartz LLP. Mr. Smith’s real estate litigation practice includes the defense of title claims, adverse possession, easement and boundary disputes, quiet title, reformation, partition and eminent domain, as well as title agency liability and defense. Mr. Smith has served as a court appointed master-in-partition for the Orphans’ Court Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County. Mr. Smith’s municipal practice includes home rule law as well as municipal litigation. Since 2005 he has served as the Solicitor for the City of Reading Charter Board. In 2014 and 2015, Mr. Smith also served as a part-time Solicitor for Montgomery County assisting the Office of the Controller. Mr. Smith is also a member of the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP) Board. MCAP attorney advocates represent and protect the needs and interests of these vulnerable children, offering representation and support as they participate in the legal and social service arenas.
