Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 protects our water and environment here in Boise, "the city of Trees," and throughout Idaho by utilizing Phoneraiser- a creative, environmentally friendly, fundraiser used by organizations nationwide. 5% of revenue from this Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 fundraiser will be given to the Boise/Treasure Valley YMCA Strong Kids Campaign for needy kids.
Boise, ID, March 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 will utilize the national Phoneraiser program as part of its goal to preserve nature and water throughout the United States. This particular fundraiser will not only benefit operations of Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 but keep our land fills from being polluted.
As reported on the Phoneraiser website, hazardous cellular waste, primarily used cell phones and ink jet cartridges create innumerable environmental hazards including these facts:
*If cell phones are not properly disposed, they damage to air, soil and water.
*One cell phone can pollute up to 132,000 liters of water.
*Many cell phones are toxic and contain substances such as arsenic, lead, and cadmium, that pollute the air when burned in incinerators and embed into soil and drinking water when buried in landfills.
*Cadmium can damage kidneys.
*Lead causes damage to the central nervous systems.
Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 will give 5% of its revenue from the Hoops 227 Phoneraiser to the Boise, Treasure Valley YMCA Strong Kids Campaign which assists needy kids.
"I felt like this would be an honorable statement by our organization to take steps in such a humanitarian aspect. Preserving our water is something we as a nation should all take pride in," says Jamaal.
Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 is located in Boise, Idaho and specializes in basketball training for kids. Its website hoops227.atomicshops.com has an array of fascinating basketball components including You Tube segments on certain NBA players like Michael Jordan, Vince Carter of the NBA's New Jersey Nets and NBA All Star-Dwight Howard. "Such philanthropical and ethical guidelines for the organization of Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 are important for growth as a company," stated Coach Jamaal.
Coach Jamaal Al-Din has been a member of the Boise/Meridian/Treasure Valley YMCA for 6 years and regards its code of ethics highly.
"No one is turned away because of financial problems at YMCAs throughout the nation. I was brought up with the idea that we, as people are all created equal regardless of your financial prowess or lack there of. The YMCA adheres to those very same principals," says Jamaal.
The Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227-Phoneraiser campaign is an environmentally friendly fundraiser which will protect the environment as well as allow used cell phones to be properly refurbished using the most ecologically sound methods by Phoneraiser.
On April 5, 2008 Jamaal al-Din's Hoops 227 will announce its sponsors for this fundraiser. These sponsors will provide drop off locations for cell phone donations throughout Boise and Meridian, Idaho. Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 will cover essentially Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Treasure Valley, Idaho (Ada, Elmore, and Canyon County).
