New Nonprofit, Jeengle, Launches an Innovative Gateway to Giving That Makes Charity Easy

Denver, CO, June 25, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Today, Jeengle, a Denver-based 501(c)(3) organization, announces its official launch. Jeengle fills a gap within the nonprofit landscape as a gateway to giving that allows donors to give a single donation that reaches a group of vetted charities. Jeengle offers an opportunity for one donation to reach the spectrum of causes. Additionally, as opposed to the current competition, Jeengle does not charge a participation fee or take a percentage from the donations. 100 percent of what is donated to Jeengle is given directly to Jeengle’s vetted group of charities.
“We feel that we’re providing an opportunity to the giving landscape that doesn’t currently exist. We’re removing trepidation and confusion around giving, and in turn, providing an opportunity to give to the good guys that are doing the most with donors’ dollars,” said Julia Baker Hansen, Executive Director of Jeengle. “We’re in the business of giving – and that’s a good business to be in. We’re just in it for everyone that wants to give and everyone else that needs a little support.”
Jeengle uses specific methodology to choose their vetted organizations. The intent of Jeengle’s methodology is to highlight the best of the best within the nonprofit landscape – the charities making the greatest impact. Additionally, Jeengle is an opportunity for every giver – and Jeengle’s methodology reflects that mission. A sampling of Jeengle’s methodology includes:
- Revenue: Over $30 million annually
- Program Expenses: Over 75 percent
- Location: Must be a national organization – rather than state or regional
- Government Funding: Not over 50 percent
“The opportunity to give once and cover all of your bases is a concept that doesn’t currently exist,” said Charlie Willhoit, Jeengle’s Founder and Board member. “Our intention is to move the charitable needle in individual giving within America by simply making giving easier.”
According to Giving USA 2018: The Annual Report on Philanthropy for the Year 2017, total charitable giving in the United States by individuals was $286.65 billion. Jeengle believes that by making giving easier, a small shift can make a big difference. Jeengle’s vision is to simply raise charitable giving by 0.03 percent per American in the civilian labor force. As an effect, individual givers could have a $2.12 billion impact on philanthropy.
