Fire Fighters for Operation Warm Jump-Start Fall Fundraising with July 4th Campaign
Donations to be matched up to $10,000 when you support our American heroes.
Chadds Ford, PA, July 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Operation Warm, a national nonprofit that creates brand new, high-quality coats and gifts them to children in need, has launched the third annual July 4th Coats for Kids campaign with plans to match donations up to $10,000.
Since 2012, hundreds of fire departments across the country have partnered with Operation Warm to provide brand new coats to children in need in the communities they protect. To date, over 250,000 children have received coats from fire fighters.
For the third year in a row, Operation Warm is dedicating its July 4th campaign to help Fire Fighters for Operation Warm reach more children in need of warm clothing. The annual campaign is an easy fundraising opportunity for fire fighters to kick start their fundraising efforts.
All individual online donations made to fire fighters during this campaign will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. As a bonus, the fire department that receives the most individual online donations will be awarded an additional 100 coats for their fall 2018 program. 100% of donations from this campaign will help Fire Fighters for Operation Warm expand their reach and help more kids.
"Operation Warm is just one way fire fighters across the country are going beyond the call of duty to better the places where they live and serve," says Laura Wisneski, Operation Warm Associate Director, Community Programs. "We are dedicating this July 4th fundraiser to fire fighters, not only to help them fundraise, but to recognize them as the true American heroes they are."
"I believe it's our personal responsibility to help others," explains Dick Sanford, Operation Warm Founder & CEO. "No child should be left out in the cold or be forced to walk to school in freezing temperatures without a coat. This campaign will truly impact the lives of thousands of children around the holidays."
Last year, Operation Warm’s July 4th campaign raised over $20,000.
