Foodstuffs Chooses IDS Menus’ Digital Menu Board System
Holbrook, NY, March 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- IDS Menus™, a leading supplier of Digital Menu Boards, announced the recent successful installation of its digital menu board system at Foodstuffs, located in Chicago, Illinois. Foodstuffs provide gourmet foods and services to the Chicago, Illinois area. They currently have four locations in Illinois and have been in business for over 25 years. Foodstuffs prides itself in providing their customers with top quality homemade appetizers, soups, entrees, salads, sauces, breads and pastries. Fresh seafood, quality meats, custom made sandwiches, and the ability to build your own salad is also found at Foodstuffs.
Two 42-inch LCD screens were installed on pivoting wall mounts in the food court of the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, Illinois. IDS Menus was called upon by Foodstuffs to provide a mix of digital content such as menu pricing, combination meal offerings, and instructional graphics illustrating how customers can create their own beverages. Foodstuffs enlisted IDS Menus’ marketing expertise with the choice and placement of different menu items. The profit potential for Foodstuffs was maximized by strategic placement of their more profitable items.
Eve Feldman, Vice President/COO, explains why Foodstuffs chose IDS Menus to complete their digital menu board system and how IDS provided them with a superior customized solution. “Foodstuffs chose IDS Menus to produce its digital menu boards because their experience in the foodservice industry is unparalleled relative to their competition. The customer service that I received before, during and after the order was placed was second to none. IDS’ team of graphics and sales professionals assisted me in customizing the design, look and feel of the menu board system so that it yields the best results for my store. Foodstuffs is very satisfied with the selection of IDS Menus’ digital menu board system and we anticipate doing business with IDS in the future.”
Linda DiMarco, Creative Director at IDS Menus, adds more about the Foodstuffs project. “Foodstuffs is located in such a fast-paced environment, it was imperative that the design stand out and capture customer attention. We incorporated large, appetizing food footage and a very clean menu design so that customers didn't get confused. We were also able to maximize screen real estate by having menu items transition in and out – this would never have been possible with static menu boards.”
IDS Menus is a certified partner of Scala, Inc. Founded in 1987, Scala provides the InfoChannel broadcast suite of software to IDS’ digital products, allowing foodservice establishments to modify content on their digital menu boards. Scala is headquartered in Exton, PA with operations in California, the UK, Norway, The Netherlands, China and Japan.
