Ambassador to the U.S. Set to Attend Exclusive East Coast Screening of The Road to Mother
Los Angeles, CA, July 17, 2018 --(PR.com)-- World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (formerly OTCBB: WWMO) will be co-hosting a special screening of the Feature Film The Road to Mother (theroadtomother.com) at the Carnegie Science Institute for Science in Washington D.C. on July 19th, 2018.
The screening, supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be attended by representatives of the White House, the Chamber of Commerce, business professionals, and cultural figures, with a guest list of nearly 400. The film’s leading actors, Adil Akhmetov and Aruzhan Jazilbekova, will be traveling from Kazakhstan to be in attendance.
The award winning film screened earlier this year in Greece, Italy, and Croatia and was the official selection for Best Foreign Film at the 90th Academy Awards and the 74th Golden Globe Awards and has won numerous awards at various Film Festivals.
The Road to Mother is based on a true story and follows a young man who is separated from his mother by war and journeys through harrowing experiences from childhood into adulthood without her to protect him. It is ultimately a stirring drama for the whole family about the power of maternal love.
The film will be released in select theaters throughout the US this fall, including major metropolitan areas, with many Kazakhstani and Asian American organizations offering their support.
“We’re very pleased that the Embassy of Kazakhstan has elected to support a special screening of the film for political luminaries in the D.C. area,” explained Paul Hancock, CEO of World Wide. “The sharing of cultural history can only prove to strengthen the relationship between societies, and filmed entertainment is one of the best ways to do that,” he further stated.
