Moving Company’s Runners Raise $14K+ to Feed Hungry
Broadview, IL, July 25, 2018 --(PR.com)-- National Van Lines employees eat, breathe and sleep “moving,” so it wasn’t much of a stretch to add running to that list…especially when it means hauling away hunger.
The interstate relocation company’s Move Out Hunger running team grabbed their gym shoes and put their best foot forward to trample the food-security crisis during the Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon July 22.
Exceeding their $10,000 fundraising goal before jumping off the starting line, the Move Out Hunger team succeeded in giving their numerous donors a run for their money and helping the charitable organization Move For Hunger gain momentum in providing much-needed meals coast to coast.
“We topped 10K twice,” team member and National Van Lines President & COO Tim Helenthal said. “Our total donations surpassed $10K to reach more than $14,000. Plus, our runners moved well beyond the 10K-distance mark by completing a full 13.1 miles. Talk about a runner’s high.”

Helenthal and his daughter, Lauren, previously set a Move For Hunger fundraising record by generating $6,721 during the 2016 Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon.
