Hernandez, Kroone & Associates Welcomes Next Generation Civil Engineers
Say Hello to Two New Faces Joining the HKA Team.
San Bernardino, CA, July 27, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Hernandez Kroone & Associates, (HKA) is happy to announce the addition of Rebecca Bruner, EIT, LSIT, and Robert DeMeritt, ENV SP, to the HKA team.
Rebecca is a Cal Poly Pomona Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Geospatial emphasis. Rebecca is not entirely new to HKA, as she had been an intern for more than a year with the firm, practicing field and office surveying. Rebecca plans to pursue both a PE and a PLS license as well as additional certifications to support her career growth in the coming years. Rebecca is the 2017-2018 Cal Poly Pomona California Land Surveyors Association President. “We are very pleased to have Rebecca on board, full-time. She has already proven to be a tremendous asset to our firm,” said Anne Hernandez, PE, President of HKA. In Rebecca’s new role at HKA, she will be focused on HKA’s California High Speed Rail Authority’s Right of Way Mapping and Surveying contract.
Robert DeMeritt (Rob) is also a Cal Poly Pomona Graduate, who currently holds an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certification. Rob will be taking the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in August and following that he will be taking the FS and PE exams. Once these goals are met, Rob plans to acquire his PLS as well as pursuing an MBA in Engineering Management. Prior to joining HKA, Rob was an engineering intern with Tetra Tech. Rob’s scope of responsibilities includes the preparation of design plans in AutoCad Civil 3D including creating digital terrain models, roadway modeling, and grading plans.
