Workshop: Promote Your Business or Nonprofit by Using Press Releases

Small-business owners and nonprofit organizations need to get good publicity on a shoestring budget. But many spin their wheels trying to write a press release that will work well in order to achieve their goals. This workshop teaches business owners and nonprofit staffers to write an effective press release that can help to garner the attention of the media.

Glen Mills, PA, March 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- If you own a small business or work for a nonprofit, getting the word out about your products, services or organization without spending a fortune can be an overwhelming task. Entrepreneurs and nonprofit staffers or volunteers can learn how to get the attention of the media at a course at offered from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 30, 2008. The half-day workshop will be held at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel, 107 Sixth St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

(www.wordtex.com), a business, marketing and technical communication firm headquartered in Glen Mills, PA. · Understand what an angle is.
· Write a press release in the standard format, including the proper writing hierarchy.
