WAVTC Announces New Location in Spokane, WA
The newer, larger Spokane clinic is directed by Dr. Rikson Zollinger, OD.
Spokane, WA, August 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Zollinger and his team have been hard at work helping the Spokane community since they originally opened in March 2017. Within a very short period of time, they were able to quickly expand into a larger location in the Spokane Valley. Dr. Zollinger attributes their growth to the good reception of many professionals in the community and their referrals.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new location was held on June 20th of this year. Now, as a result of their move, the office has continued to grow and is in a more central location. “There is a very high need for vision therapy in this area, and it’s great to be able to offer better care and services as a result of having more space,” explained Dr. Zollinger when asked about the motivation behind the move. He continued, “Caring for people is something that I enjoy and is what led me to the medical field… The fact that I can care for patients on a weekly basis and be instrumental in getting patients better and their visual problems resolved is very rewarding!”
While the office is new, the expertise of the team is exceptional. Everyone, from the patient care coordinators to the therapists, are devoted to the well-being of their patients. Now that they’ve completed the move, their goal is to be able to help even more patients have access to care they need. “The majority of my patients see 20/20 without glasses!” Dr. Zollinger continued, “There is much more to having good vision than just seeing clearly.”
Vision therapy treats common visual conditions like poor eye tracking, poor depth perception, strabismus (eye turn), amblyopia (lazy eye), visual problems from concussions and traumatic brain injuries. It also treats binocular vision issues that can cause reading related difficulties, and symptoms like headaches, blurry vision, eye fatigue, eye strain with reading or other near work.
It is important to understand that many insurance providers help with the cost of vision therapy evaluations and treatment. Sometimes interested patients, will take advantage of a free screening available at Dr. Zollinger’s clinic.
