Stephens Convention Center. Anderson, who will attend on Saturday and Sunday, August 25-26, will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for dual and solo photo ops and conduct an interactive fan Q&A panel during the show.
Anderson began her career in theater, moving to New York when she was just 22 years old to pursue a career as a stage actress. She began her career in Alan Ayckbourn's play, Absent Friends, for which she won the 1990–91 Theatre World "Newcomer" Award for her role. Anderson then moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to pursue work in film and television. She garnered some attention in 1993 with a guest appearance on the collegiate drama, Class of '96, on the Fox Network. During her time on “The X-Files,” Anderson won several awards, including an Emmy Award, Golden Globe and two Screen Actors Guild awards for "Best Actress in a Drama Series."
Anderson appeared in several film roles through the later part of the 90’s, including roles in Chicago Cab, Playing by Heart and The Mighty, as well as of one of Japanese animation master Hayao Miyazaki’s most popular and enduring works, Princess Mononoke, as the character of Moro. She then worked in more UK-based productions, including “Bleak House” and “The Fall” before role in U.S. shows “Hannibal” and “The Fall” and, beginning in 2016, the revival of “The X-Files.”
Known also for portraying the iconic characters of “Hank Moody” on “Californication,” the two-time Golden Globe winner Duchovny also returned for “The X-Files” revival following a run on the NBC TV series “Aquarius.” Duchovny recently released his third novel, Miss Subways, to critical acclaim, following the success of Bucky F*cking Dent: A Novel, and his debut Holy Cow, which landed on The New York Times’ Bestseller List.
Aside from his most recent achievements, Duchovny has appeared in numerous television shows, including “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Twin Peaks,” “Life With Bonnie,” and “Sex and the City,” alongside his illustrious film credits including The X Files Movie, Zoolander, Beethoven, Kalifornia, Full Frontal, The Rapture, Evolution, Return To Me, Julia Has Two Lovers, Chaplin, and Playing God. Other feature credits include Trust The Man, The TV Set, and his self-directed and self-written House of D.
Anderson and Duchovny are part of an all-star lineup at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago which already includes Tom Welling (“Smallville,” “Lucifer”), Ian Somerhalder (“The Vampire Diaries”), six stars of the cast of “Outlander” (Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Graham McTavish, Lotte Verbeek, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton), Guardians of the Galaxy standouts Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff, the "Boy Meets World" foursome of Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong, David Krumholz ("Firefly," Serenity), Christy Carlson Romano ("Kim Possible") and many more.
