Long-Term Care Insurance Association Reports Increasing Web Traffic
An analysis of website traffic for the first six months of 2018 reveals heightened interest in long-term care planning reports the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.
Los Angeles, CA, August 04, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The number of consumers seeking information about long-term care insurance via the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance's website is increasing according to the national trade organization.
"The millions of Americans in their 60s are realizing they have no plan in place for dealing with the very real prospect of needing care and they are using the Internet to seek out information," explains Jesse Slome, director of AALTCI. The organization reported website traffic to the Association's website increased for the first six months of 2018 compared to the same period during the prior year.
"The majority of those seeking information are over age 55," Slome reports. An analysis of 350,000 website visitors revealed that 43 percent of website visitors were 55 or older. Just over half, 56 percent, of website visitors were male, a slight increase over the same period a year earlier.
"There are several positive takeaways from the data," Slome shares. "First, it's promising news that more people are taking an interest in understanding the importance of long-term care planning. Also, it's promising to see more men taking an interest in the planning discussion."
The Association's website offers consumers the opportunity to learn more about long-term care insurance planning as well as to connect with long-term care insurance professionals who can provide costs.
"This can be a complicated product and working with a specialist in the field can be in your best interest," Slome advises. The Association defines a specialist as an insurance professional versed in both types of long-term care insurance options - the health based or traditional LTC policy as well as the linked-benefit or life insurance or annuity plans that also can provide a long-term care payout.
