Participate in the Brain Health to Beat Stroke 5K, Aug. 11, 2018 at McLeod Lake Park in Stockton, CA

Stockton, CA, August 03, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Together we can Stomp out Strokes! On Saturday, August 11th, Healings in Motion and Partners for Stroke Awareness invite you to participate in the 4th annual fundraiser Brain Health 5K Run/Walk/Roll at McLeod Lake Park in Stockton. The Brain Health to Beat Stroke’s course is flat and fast, wheelchair accessible and offers beautiful scenery along the downtown waterfront. Registration opens at 6:45 am and the Run/Walk/Roll begins at 7:30 am.

“This is a great opportunity to support our local community and your participation directly benefits stroke survivors and their families,” said Mary Nicholson, Founder and Executive Director. “Will you join us in the fight against stroke?”

Participant packets include a map of the route, an event T-shirt, race bib, and a delicious “brain freeze” dessert. Registered participants and teams qualify for prizes including medals for the top finishers. Entry fees are only $35.

Proceeds from this year directly support future educational programs, family resources, and information for medical providers in the community. Healings in Motion is a 12 year-old 501(c)(3) non-profit agency focused on brain health, stroke awareness, community education and supporting the advancement of local medical services. Healings in Motion successfully advocated for area hospitals to become Certified Stroke Centers - improving stroke care and survival rates for countless families.
