Medicare Supplement Association Plans Campaign for Medicare Open Enrollment
A consumer focused campaign to educate and connect consumers with local Medicare Supplement insurance agents was announced by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.
Los Angeles, CA, August 05, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The number of consumers seeking information about Medicare insurance surges during Medicare Open Enrollment Period and via American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance announced a planned educational and awareness campaign. Open enrollment begins October 15th.
"Open enrollment is the time millions of Americans focus on their Medicare insurance options," explains Jesse Slome, director of Medigap insurance trade group. The organization supports insurance professionals who offer Medicare insurance options and hosts the nation's leading Find A Local Medicare Agent online directory on the Association's website.
"Consumers should do a Medicare insurance check-up to make sure they still have the best coverage for their specific and often changing health care needs," Slome advises. The organization will provide special tools to agents who are listed on their directory and recently posted access to sessions filmed at the 2018 National Medicare Summit. These educational sessions can be viewed for free online.
The Association's online directory provides a no-cost look-up of Medicare insurance agents located closest to a consumer's home or office. "We know that in many situations, individuals still prefer the opportunity to meet face-to-face with a local professional, so this is a free service we are very pleased to provide," Slome adds. There is no sign-in information required to access the online look-up, a distinctive feature that provides consumers with complete privacy.
Consumers look for local Medicare insurance agents should visit the Association's website at www.medicaresupp.org. Insurance agents who add their listing prior to Open Enrollment can add their listing in advance of the Medicare Open Enrollment kick-off.
The American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance advocates for the importance of planning and helps consumers connect with knowledgeable professionals who are independent advisors.
