Population Health Alliance Announces Tom Scully as Opening Keynote Speaker at Capitol Caucus and Innovation Summit
Washington, DC, August 09, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Population Health Alliance (PHA) today announced that Tom Scully, General Partner, Welsh Carson, Anderson & Stowe and Former CMS Administrator, will join Population Health Alliance Chairman of the Board Rose Maljanian to kick off the PHA Capitol Caucus and Innovation Summit in Washington, DC with the opening keynote, “Leading at the Intersection of Innovation and Policy,” on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 7:30 to 8:40 a.m.
Mr. Scully will share his experience leading change in the government sector through policy and his expertise creating and investing in innovation. He will make recommendations on how public-private partnerships can result in greater impact than could be achieved alone by either sector.
“We are honored to have Tom play a key role at this important event at a time so critical for the population health industry as we lead through innovation to solve the value equation in healthcare,” said Rose Maljanian, Chairman & CEO HealthCAWS and Chairman of the Board for the Population Health Alliance.
This Population Health Alliance Capitol Caucus and Innovation Summit 2018 will bring together policymakers and key stakeholders from across the health care industry committed to driving innovation in care management, wellness, and prevention for focused briefings on key legislative and regulatory issues. Keynote remarks from thought leaders will kick off a series of substantive panel discussions with open dialogue among senior experts about policy and practical challenges and opportunities to advance population health.
“I am excited to share some of my experiences with this group of leaders at the Population Health Alliance,” said Mr. Scully. “From the development of MA and Part D fifteen years ago, to more recent projects with post-acute bundling and PACE, I have been a zealot on the notion that well designed capitation drives better and more efficient care, all through creating system-wide incentives for population management. This is the only way forward.”
