Fox Dry-Cleaning Services in Tulsa and Jenks Renovated, Modernized

Tulsa, OK, August 13, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Fox Cleaners isn’t just a place to make your old clothes look new again. It’s a place where life has come full circle, beginning, and now “beginning again” with Maggie Fox, who has taken the reigns again along with some key employees who are living their “second chances” at Fox Cleaners.

Tim Fox bought the dry cleaners in 1984. It became a joint venture when he married Maggie in 2000. Tim died of pancreatic cancer in 2007, and she faced raising two baby girls alone. She sold part of her interest, maintaining 25% ownership. During the next several years, Fox says she watched Fox Cleaners suffer some financial setbacks and felt the brand was losing its focus. After meeting with the other owners in 2016, Fox decided to buy back the business, so she could fulfill her late husband Tim’s vision, and leave their daughters a legacy.

“This was Tim’s dream and he built and repaired much of the equipment and stores himself. Today, it’s like he’s still here. Every time I go inside (one of the locations), I can hear and feel him. So, buying back the business is a way to keep him alive. Not just for me, but for our girls,” Maggie said.

Since taking control of Fox Cleaners, she has remodeled and rejuvenated the dry-cleaning stores in Tulsa with eco-green products, new equipment, expanded free pick-up and delivery, online orders and payments, wash-and-fold, and same-day service. One thing is the same: the employees. Fox was amazed to learn several of them had been working there for decades.

Several employees have become U.S. citizens, another is working at Fox Cleaners after completing the “Women in Recovery Program.” Yet another who began as a front desk clerk is now working as General Manager. Each worker tells a story of how Fox Cleaners gave them a second chance, just as Maggie Fox is giving her husband’s dream a second chance.

“This is what I want to do, this is how I want to make a difference. Our employees are amazing people and they’re absolutely the best part of what’s going on here. I’m excited about that,” Maggie said.
