Rock-A-Thon, Food Drive & Vendor Fair to Benefit East Tucson Neighborhood Food Pantry & Neighborhood Church Seniors
Tucson, AZ, August 17, 2018 --(PR.com)-- On August 25, 2018 from 9 am to 1 pm, Neighborhood Church will be holding a Rock-A-Thon, Food Drive, & Vendor Fair at Desert Christian School Wrightstown Campus located at 9415 Wrightstown Rd., Tucson, AZ 85715.
The food drive will benefit the East Tucson Neighborhood Food Pantry.
The mission of the East Tucson Neighborhood Food Pantry is "To support and improve the quality of life for children, families, elderly and disabled by providing necessary resources in our East Tucson Community." Donations of non-perishable food items as well as monetary donations will be collected at the event. The food pantry is located at located at 5707 E. 22nd St.
The East Tucson Neighborhood food pantry is privately funded and 100% volunteer operated. They rely heavily on community support. Currently, they are serving approximately 900 families per month, with 20,000 pounds of food, along with personal hygiene items, baby essentials and pet food. The Rock-A-Thon will benefit the Neighborhood Church Young at Heart Seniors Group. Participants will be rocking in their rocking chairs or gliders for 4 straight hours collecting donations from sponsors and competing for the title of "Best Rocker."
Vendors will include: The Pampered Chef with 15% of sales going to the fundraisers, Tupperware with 40% of sales from their fundraising catalog going to the fundraiser, MyIntent Maker Anita Gater with 75% of sales going to the fundraiser. Additional vendors include LuLaRoe, Cards & Photography by Tessa, Artist Sherry Hyde, Hummingbird Lane Handmade Soaps & Classes, Discovery Toys, Mary Kay, It Works!, Creative Memories, and Krish’s Kitchen.
