WyoTech Campus Reopens in Laramie Under New, Local Leadership
Laramie, WY, August 20, 2018 --(PR.com)-- With former WyoTech president and alumni Jim Mathis back in the driver’s seat and a new class in session on its Laramie campus, WyoTech has officially returned to its Wyoming roots.
“We’re committed to continuing the legacy of WyoTech and making the right decisions to get us there,” Mathis said.
Founded in Laramie in 1966, WyoTech provides concentrated training programs (Automotive Technology, Collision Refinishing Technology, and Diesel Technology) that prepare students for careers as technicians in the automotive and diesel industry.
A WyoTech graduate himself, Mathis served as president of the school until its acquisition in 2002. Now the CEO, and bolstered by a passionate ownership team, he’s dedicated to bringing back the caliber of excellence and quality of training around which WyoTech built its reputation.
“Over the next two to three years, we plan on building up to around 500 to 600 students,” Mathis said.
In November 2017, the school’s previous ownership group announced it was closing all WyoTech locations across the US to focus on other endeavors. Currently, the Laramie campus is the only location where classes are available.
