AD1 Global’s VP Named Panelist at the 18th Annual Latino Hotel Association Conference
Hollywood, FL, August 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Several members of AD1 Global’s corporate team attended the 2018 Latino Hotel Association Conference, where Corporate VP of Acquisitions, Gisela Levy spoke on Buying a Hotel & Repositioning panel.

Held at the Double Tree by Hilton Grand Hotel in Biscayne Bay, Florida, the event has made a name for itself in the hotel industry by bringing together Latinos who are interested in all facets of hospitality, specifically ownership. Moreover, the association provides networking opportunities and resources for these entrepreneurs by sponsoring industry events and connecting them with leaders in the field.

There has been a significant rise in Latin-American entrepreneurship on a national scale in recent years.

According to the Latino Hotel Association’s website, “For the last 10 years, the rate of new businesses started by Hispanics has been 15 times that of the national average, and Hispanics own more than 4 million businesses throughout the United States with revenues exceeding $650 billion.”

As a company founded by Latinos, AD1 Global feels especially grateful to be recognized by the LHA. This sentiment is echoed by Levy, who also happened to be one of the few female panelists at the conference.

“As a Latin-American woman, it feels especially humbling to be invited to speak at such an esteemed event with so many colleagues from the industry,” said Levy. “It was great to see so many eager entrepreneurs and learn from some of the best in our industry.”

During the panel, Levy answered questions posed by the moderator regarding PIPs (Property Improvement Plans), the criteria that she believes are most important when purchasing a property, and what influence Airbnb and similar companies will have on the industry as a whole in the years to come.

President and CEO of the Latino Hotel Association, Lynette Montoya, is excited about the future of the association and hopes to make improvements going forward, her main focus being the issue of Latino under-representation in hotel ownership today.

“The conference provided a wealth of knowledge on what it takes to be a hotel owner, but it also brought into perspective the great deficit of Hispanic hotel owners. The challenge now is to determine the best steps to change this face of ownership to be more diverse and help those that have determined this is the direction they would like to go in.”

AD1 Global’s portfolio has quickly expanded to now include fifteen hotels, including internationally recognized brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Wyndham. The company is actively engaged in finding new acquisitions. For more information, please visit www.ad1global.com.
