Music Vet Craig Donaldson Releases Fifth Album "Never Say Never"
Nashville, TN, August 25, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Craig Donaldson is proud to announce the upcoming release of his fifth studio album "Never Say Never" on Morillon Records, available on iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, CD Baby and its partners in October 2018.
New songs with uplifting and positive messages dominate this record, and some of their titles afford listeners a preview: "Never Say Never" is a story about never giving up on love; "When" is a song of self-reflection; "Come In Out Of The Rain" is a tender story about a girl who thinks of herself as all-too-common; "While You Can" will remind listeners how short life can be; and "Takin’ The Long Way" paves a road to long-term romance.

Donaldson’s long-time fans will remember his hit "Drive That Rig To Glory" (GrAMM / IRDA - that made it to Billboard’s Hot Country 100 singles chart), and they can look forward to hearing a re-make on the CD with a Nashville-driven rhythm section and all the country fixin’s. Spoiler alert: get out the Kleenex for "Long Enough," the intimate thoughts of a widowed spouse.
Once again, Donaldson has found his sweet spot - blurring the line between Adult Contemporary and country. Reminiscent of the Eagles, Phil Vassar and Vince Gill, but with a modern sound crafted by Nashville veteran, guitarist and co-producer, Erik Halbig, listeners will find this record refreshing yet familiar.
Donaldson has an extensive background in recording studios in Los Angeles, Nashville and Denver, writing and producing radio and television commercials and appearing on other artists’ albums. His work and voice have been heard in connection with dozens of advertisers including AT&T, Coors, Frontier Airlines, Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Denver Nuggets and many others.
Donaldson received a Gold Record Award for his writing and arranging on ‘New Horizons’ (EMI Australia) by Australian band Wickety Wak. He first received national recognition in the U.S. with his single, "Drive That Rig To Glory." His 2008 CD, "Hang In The Balance," garnered him Radio Indy‘s prestigious Grindie Award, and the single from that CD, "My Heart’s In The Right Place," was the 7th most added song on Adult Contemporary Radio’s Friday Morning Quarterback Report - placing him ahead of Brad Paisley and Britney Spears and giving him an overall ranking in the Top 100 (95) ahead of Taylor Swift and Chris Isaak.
Donaldson has occasionally performed live - touring college campuses and appearing at clubs as a member of several bands, including acoustic duo Rosewood; another duo Cable & Donaldson; Denver-based band Lix DeLux (comprised of Cable and several players from the Michael Martin Murphey band); and L.A.-based acts Richard Marx and Dan McCorison.
