Lehi, UT, August 27, 2018 --(PR.com)-- eLuma Online Therapy is proud to announce a very special webinar, entitled "Making Teletherapy a Viable and Long Term Solution." The webinar is scheduled for Friday, September 21, and will feature CEC President-elect, Mary Lynn Boscardin, Ph.D. and Mary Andrianopoulos, Ph.D. as they discuss their research and insights on teletherapy and how it can become a viable and long-term solution for special education programs across the country. "We are so excited to have these two individuals share their expertise and provide unbiased guidance to our audience. There is a fear of the unknown and we are hoping that they can shed more light on all the realities and possibilities that come with teletherapy. This can make a real difference for programs that are struggling, but afraid to try something new," declared eLuma's president and founder Jeremy Glauser.
The National Coalition on Personnel Shortages in Special Education and Related Services (NCPSSERS) reports there are widespread and persistent clinician shortages and turnover. As this crisis continues, teletherapy has emerged as one of the primary options to help solve these critical problems. It also has opened the door to new capabilities, efficiencies and exciting future potential. Nevertheless, many schools and districts remain skeptical and are reluctant to consider teletherapy despite its ability to more readily provide staffing and a growing body of research validating its efficacy. Beyond this skepticism, making teletherapy a viable and long-term solution does require a shift in thinking, commitment and adaptation.
This webinar is free and open to the public. Registration is available at the eLuma Webinars registration page. Registrations are limited and granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The information presented in this webinar will help special education leaders better understand the what is needed to ensure greater success. It will specifically address:
- Building a vision and process for teletherapy at your school/district (setup and logistics).
- The Dos and Don'ts of delivering teletherapy (including HIPPA & FERPA considerations).
- Incorporating EBP into teletherapy.
- Establishing stakeholder buy-in and how to implement a long term teletherapy solution.
- Financial and operational benefits to districts.
- Videos of actual teletherapy.
