Dress for Success Tampa Bay and JPMorgan Chase Launch Employee Engagement Initiative

Tampa, FL, August 30, 2018 --(PR.com)-- JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Dress for Success Tampa Bay are working together to launch two new programs for local unemployed or underemployed women: a Resume Writing and Mock Interview Boot Camp and an opportunity to Adopt a Boutique and Career Center for the day. The first activity for participants in the boot camp kicked off on Wednesday, August 29, at JPMorgan Chase’s Tampa campus.

JPMorgan Chase employees will work one-on-one with Dress for Success clients, providing them with real-life skills, resources, tools, and best practices to guide them to success in the workforce. Dress for Success Tampa Bay is just one of 20 of the nonprofit’s international affiliates to launch these programs.

“This partnership is a truly significant milestone for us as the first strategic alliance to span so many countries—it will have global impact on our mission,” said Joi Gordon, Dress for Success Worldwide CEO.

Katie McGill, Executive Director of Dress for Success Tampa Bay, said, “Dress for Success Tampa Bay is delighted to be a part of the partnership between Dress for Success International and JPMorgan Chase. The resources that JPMorgan Chase is providing will directly empower women in the Tampa Bay community to return to the workforce or to obtain job advancement. For our clients, exposure to companies like JPMorgan Chase, with an extensive culture of volunteerism, helps boost their morale and broaden their vision of what is possible in their career and lives.”

The Resume Writing and Mock Interview Boot Camp is a three-part program to provide creative and interactive workforce development tools and resources to participants, such as one-on-one resume reviews, mock interviews, suiting and first impressions, and a LinkedIn workshop. The Adopt a Boutique & Career Center program will assist job-seeking newcomers to Dress for Success Tampa Bay as well as seasoned clients seeking career advancement. The overall goal for both programs is to help participants achieve employment stability and long-term economic independence.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Dress for Success and leverage the talent of our employees to help empower women and hone the skills they need to succeed in their future careers,” said Tara Cardone, JPMorgan Chase Head of Employee Engagement & Volunteerism.
