CORE-934 Charity Golf Classic - Providing Christmas Trees to Military Families
Charity Golf Classic at Redhawk Golf Course in Temecula, CA on September 29th. All proceeds support CORE-934's mission of providing live, fresh Christmas trees to military families.
Temecula, CA, September 01, 2018 --(PR.com)-- “Thank you for your service” never seems enough to say to show appreciation for active duty enlisted military and their families.
On September 29th, Core-934 is hosting an inaugural Charity Golf Classic at Redhawk Golf Course in Temecula. The event's goal is to raise $50,000 to provide over 1250 Christmas trees for military personnel and their families.
The cost is $150 per player and $550 for each four-member team competing in an 18-hole shotgun scramble. The tournament will feature major prizes including a new car from Temecula Hyundai, a motorcycle from Temecula Harley Davidson, a Ford EcoSport from GOSCH Ford Temecula, and other exciting prizes.
Auction items will include golf packages, an autographed photograph of Phil Mickelson, African Safaris and a Wine Wagon featuring the “best of the best” from local Temecula wineries. More sponsors will be added in the next few weeks. Local businesses that have provided gift baskets include Tanya Gray Salon, Thornton Winery, Europa Winery, The Farmer’s Wife, Garage Brewing Company, Massage Envy, European Wax Centers, Wes’s Flowers and many more! Sponsorship's are still available and greatly appreciated.
CORE-934, a non-profit company was created to say “thank you” and provide the Spirit of Christmas to our nations heroes and their families. The average military family is living below the average income level and many may struggle to afford just the basics. The purchase of a Christmas tree is a luxury many military families cannot afford.
CORE-934 was created by Randy & Denise Wood, owners of Wood Mountain, a fundraising company helping high schools, churches and youth groups raise money to support team sports, uniforms, transportation costs, mission trips. Working with the National Trees for Troops program provided insight for the need. Donations from CORE-934's customers not only help their individual organizations, but also make a difference by the trees delivered to these military families.
Last year, CORE-934, in partnership with Wood Mountain and Trees for Troops donated over 4500 Christmas trees to military families at 70 bases across the United States. There is a growing list of approximately 50,000 trees still needed nationwide. With this said, every golfer registered will provide 1 tree closer to CORE-934's goal of 1250 trees for this tournament.
CORE-934, Inc. needs your support. Providing a tree is a small measure of gratitude to honor the sacrifices of those who have defended our nation’s freedom. Please visit their website, www.CORE-934.org to learn more about their mission and register for their Charity Golf Classic.
