Austin Contractors & Engineers Association Prepares for Annual Fish Fry Fundraiser
The Austin Contractors & Engineers Association (ACEA) is preparing to welcome more than 600 members to their annual Fish Fry Fundraiser event on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Travis County Expo Center. The popular event includes a live and silent auction along with other fun games.
Austin, TX, September 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Austin Contractors & Engineers Association (ACEA) is preparing to welcome more than 600 members to their annual Fish Fry Fundraiser event on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Travis County Expo Center. The annual event is an opportunity for members to network in a casual environment, catch up with others in the industry, all while raising funds to support the various ACEA programs offered throughout the year.
The ACEA has been representing the engineering and contractor community since 1983. ACEA celebrated its 35th Anniversary at an event held on June 14. The milestone was recognized by Governor Abbott, and Mayor Adler along with Travis County and Williamson County Commissioners declared the day ACEA day. The association welcomes contractors, engineers, and suppliers providing goods and services to the industry.
Members enjoy educational programs offered at monthly luncheon meetings with many programs qualifying for Personal Development credit hours. An annual symposium scheduled for April 24, 2019 at the Austin Convention Center draws participants from the entire Central Texas area.
ACEA is also proud to support various community involvement projects as well as a generous scholarship program open to graduating high school seniors pursuing an engineering or construction degree in college. The scholarship program has helped more than 60 students with over $200,000 in scholarship funds since the program’s inception.
