BMS Direct, Inc. Debuts Tesla and EV “Electric Vehicle” Charging Stations

Lynchburg, VA, September 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- A sustainable future starts with making EV charging technology fully accessible. That’s why BMS Direct (BMS) has teamed up with Tesla to provide an increasingly desirable amenity – vehicle charging stations. Several factors motivated BMS to install workplace charging. The direct mail company is committed to minimizing its environmental impact and making its operations more sustainable. Workplace charging helps further its energy and green initiatives while servicing a growing number of EV drivers.

This month, crews installed two Tesla vehicle charging stations and one EV “Electric Vehicle” station. The stations were partially funded by Tesla, which provided the equipment and $1,500 per charger towards installation costs. The stations provide AC level 2 charging at 240-volts at the current BMS EV rate. Also known as “destination charging,” AC level 2 charging stations like the three available at BMS are typically installed at workplaces, homes, hotels, and shopping areas where EV owners normally spend several hours and can conveniently charge their vehicle. The charging stations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for employees, visitors and the company’s sales vehicles. Vehicles parked at the charging stations must be actively charging. The new public charging stations are located alongside BMS’s main building at 37 Millrace Drive in Lynchburg, VA. BMS offers free charging for any Region 2000 residents.
