Northeast Ohio’s Only Halloween Themed Cocktail Lounge Set to Open in Canton, Ohio on September 25th
That Halloween Bar is a temporary establishment that will serve up creative creepy cocktails in a spooky space co-designed by nationally recognized haunted attractions, Factory of Terror & The Haunted Schoolhouse & Laboratory.
Canton, OH, September 19, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Shapiro Restaurant Group has undertaken its biggest transformation to date with their latest pop up bar theme inside the TD’s Tailgate Grill on West Tuscarawas Street. With an estimated 70% of Americans participating in Halloween festivities and spending over $9 billion, owners Kim & Scott Shapiro knew this concept had to be over the top. In order to execute their vision, they enlisted the help of John Eslich, owner of both Factory of Terror in Canton and The Haunted Schoolhouse & Laboratory in Akron, Ohio. Over the course of several weeks, the design teams collaborated to create a one of a kind space that combines classic haunted house elements while still maintaining a great flow for bar patrons.
The interior space features everything from a Victorian wall with a collection of dolls and clowns, a crypt scene adorned with floating ghosts and skeletons, a haunted cabin, and a wall of custom carved jack o lanterns. “The Factory of Terror and the Haunted Schoolhouse have hundreds of rooms and scenes that we were able to draw inspiration from,” says co-owner Kim Shapiro. Like any great experience, a soundtrack of spooky music, thunder and special effects lighting will help set the mood; there are also a few surprises that will entertain the guests. No theme bar would be complete without a few photo ops and That Halloween Bar has several including a life size coffin and a voodoo alter.
The company’s mixologists are known for tasty concoctions with fun names and they didn’t disappoint with this theme’s menu. Specialty martinis like the Ghost in the Graveyard, a creamy white chocolate creation served with a tombstone cookie and the Abracadabra Martini, a color changing cocktail featuring butterfly pea flower extract are just the beginning. Twisted up classics like the Barnabus Collins, a unique version of a Tom Collins and the Morgue-arita, a raspberry margarita served in a skull glass with gummy worms are also set to appear on the menu. For the less adventurous, a selection of seasonal beers and ciders along with a caramel apple sangria will be available.
Although a limited food selection will be served on a nightly basis, guests can dine in the attached restaurant, TD’s Tailgate Grill, also owned by the Shapiro Restaurant Group. That Halloween Bar will open Tuesday through Saturday starting at 4pm and is located at 2234 West Tuscarawas Street, Canton, Ohio 44708 and is easily accessible to travelers as it is located directly west of the Southbound I-77 exit 105.
Shapiro Restaurant Group is the owner of Stark County concepts: TD’s Tailgate Grill, an upscale Sports Bistro and, Twisted Citrus, an eclectic daytime eatery. For more information either visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thatpopupbar or contact Scott Shapiro at 561-703-7812.
