Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) Confirms Keynote Speaker and Panelists for the Upcoming Active Shooter Awareness Town Hall Meeting in Des Moines, Iowa
Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) confirms keynote speaker Randall C. Thysse, Special Agent in Charge (SAC), FBI Omaha Division, and adds Dutch Giesinger, Executive Director, Safeguard Iowa Partnership and Lt. Keith Romp, Polk County Sheriff’s Office to the panel.
Des Moines, IA, September 24, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Today, the Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) confirmed Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Randall C. Thysse, FBI Omaha Division, will deliver the keynote address for its upcoming active shooter awareness town hall meeting at the Events Center West in West Des Moines, Iowa. The event will be held this Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“FBI, DHS, local law enforcement, and organizations like Safeguard Iowa are always very welcoming to us when we ask for their support,” said Eric Brown, President, HSFA. “Part of our mission is bridging the gap between the public and the government. Through our Aware campaign, individuals, who may not be exposed to public safety information during their normal course of business, gain direct access to life-saving preparedness strategies. HSFA also confirmed Dutch Giesinger, Executive Director, Safeguard Iowa Partnership and Lt. Keith Romp of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office will join Lt. Donald Powless (RET.) and Rick Tresnak of Innovative Rescue Solutions on the panel for a Q&A session with attendees after the keynote address.
The Aware public safety campaign is a series of events, training opportunities and outreach activities conducted by HSFA designed to increase the public’s awareness of active shooter threats and preparedness strategies through community outreach and a series of town hall meetings.
