Event Synopsis:
Sports betting in the U.S. paved its way to legalization in the first half of 2018, striking down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) that barred, if not limited, sports gambling and betting in most states in the country. For the past years, gambling and gaming activities in the U.S. are differently treated in every jurisdiction. With the Supreme Court of the United States’ (SCOTUS) PASPA repeal last May 2018, legalizing, regulating and allowing sports betting and gaming now lies on the hands of the individual states. Thus, potentially creating more opportunities for business growth and development. However, this does not come without risks and threats.

With this key trend affecting companies of all sizes, gaming companies and casinos should have a complete understanding of what this new regulatory development can offer as well as its potential impact on their business relations. They should also ensure legal mechanisms that would greatly complement the recent gaming industry.

Join a panel of key thought leaders and professionals assembled by The Knowledge Group as they provide the audience with an in-depth analysis of the recent trends and developments affecting the gaming industry. They will provide a thorough discussion of the fundamentals of gaming law post-PASPA.
